6 Best Smartphones with Wireless Charging Capability 2013

Look Ma, no wires! Although wireless charging is nothing new, it is now catching on with smartphones. As an increasing number of smartphone makers are starting to add wireless charging capabilities to their flagship handsets, you could throw away your MicroUSB pot and just drop your phone right on a charging mat to give it juice! The Qi wireless charging tech allows power to be transferred from a charging mat or even a speaker dock to a smartphone's battery.

While the future of its popularity still hangs in the air, I still round up the best smartphones that are available now and feature this growing technology. Ready to cut the cord? Now check out what smartphones are provided with wireless charging capability

1. Samsung Galaxy S4

Just in line with Samsung, Galaxy S4 will be introduced with wireless charging option in selected regions. And you need to place your smartphone on wireless charger pad or cover to charge your phone.

Launched on March 14th, 2013, Samsung Galaxy S4 is not just a smartphone as the South Korean giant has powered this device amazing features to call it as life companion. As the first phone with Octa-core processor, it sports a 5-inch display and is also the successor of Galaxy S3 - the best selling Android phone.

2. Nokia Lumia 920

If anything has to be talked about Nokia Lumia 920, surely it is the capabilities of wireless charging through Qi technology. The 4.5-inch dual core smartphone requires wireless charging Pad to charge your phone. It is the flagship Windows Phone 8 smartphone and also the most selling WP8 phone as well. Unlike Galaxy S4, wireless charging pad is available worldwide.

Nokia is already selling three types of wireless charger as accessory, flat charger, Fatboy pillow charger and also charging and NFC enabled stand. The energy-efficient wireless chargers come in all shapes, sizes and colour's, so you can pick one to match your phone. Best of all, they’re all Qi-compatible, which means you can use any wireless charger you like.

3. Google Nexus 4

Any devices that wears Google's Nexus badge should signal that it has cutting edge tech under the hood. The Google Nexus 4 delivers with a gorgeous 4.7-inch 1280-by-768 IPS Plus display, a 1.5-GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor and 2GB of RAM. The Google Now improvements on this Android 4.2 Jelly Bean phone are especially delicious. Qi wireless charging is just the icing on the cake. Google will offer a Wireless Charging Orb, but you'll also be able to use other Qi accessories.

4. HTC Droid DNA

Droid DNA from HTC is actually a device made for Verizon network and its international version (HTC Butterfly) does not feature wireless charging. So basically this feature is limited to US only.

As the first US smartphone to sport a 1080p display, the 5-inch Droid DNA is a beautiful beast of a handset. This phone delivers quad-core power, a sharp and fast 8-MP camera and Beats Audio in a relatively slim design. The DNA's 2,020 mAh battery will get you roughly 6.5 hours of battery life on 4G. And when it's time to replenish you can use any compatible Qi-enabled device.

5. HTC Windows Phone 8X

Yes, you can get the Windows Phone 8X on AT&T and T-Mobile, but only the Verizon Wireless version offers wireless charging functionality. 8X offers almost all features of a high end phone with lots of color options as well.

It has a 4.3 inch display and runs on 1.5 GHz quad dual core processor. It has Windows 8 operating system and 1 GB RAM which is sufficient for the normal working. 8 MP snapper enables you to capture impressive images and record HD videos. The battery rating is 1800 MAh and you can charge it with Qi technology with chargers like the Energizer Inductive Charger.

6. LG Spectrum 2

With a 4.7-inch 1280 x 720 IPS display and a dual-core 1.5-GHz Snapdragon S4 processor, the LG Spectrum 2 is a solid $99 Android smartphone for Verizon customers. DLNA compatibility and a built-in NFC chip give the Spectrum 2 the kind of features normally found on high-end devices. Add to that a Qi-compatible wireless charging chip built into the Spectrum 2's back panel and an optional charging pad and you have a compelling value.

Okay, that's all my collections for the best  wireless charging smartphones. Which one you are holding now? Which one you are planning to get? Show your ideas!

Google I/O Conference 2013: What to Expect

Google I/O 2013, serving as the announcement platform for several new products and some replacement for old product, is scheduled for May 15 through 17. Its registrations have already opened on March 13 and the tickets sold like hot cakes, all sold out in less than an hour.

Now Google has become the leader in technology world, making it really need to give few solid technology blockbusters in 2013 knockout, both in the realm of software and hardware products. The event itself is still a few months away, but we have already had an idea of what we are sure to see and we are likely to see on Google I/O 2013.

Google I/O Conference 2013 Rumors and Predictions

Recently I have analyzed all the speculations, rumors, forecasts and predictions for Google I/O 2013 about the new hardware product and software innovations that are expected to be launched at the event. Here under is the quick round up of the things expected from G-team.

1. Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie

One thing we can bet on is Android 5.0, codename Key Lime Pie. Considering that it has already been more than a year since Android 4.0 was introduced, the Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie will be the start of the evening without any doubt.

Android 5.0 is said to be quite different and Google will introduce something new so as to make Key Lime Pie a big improvement over the current Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The difference may not be as big as the jump from Gingerbread to ICS, but expect some big changes to the UI at least. (I will continue to share some hotly rumored features on Key Lime Pie, stay for my update.)

2. Google Now for Chrome

It is generally known that Google Now is Android's biggest gems. However, it is not going to be exclusive to Android for long. Recent reports show that Google is working on building Now into Chrome and you and expect the personalized search tool to be present in plenty of Google products soon enough.

3. New Nexus 7

Along with the new OS, Google will have at least one Nexus device to showcase it on. The safest bet is on a new Nexus 7, possibly a slightly larger one with a 7.8-inch screen to better compete with the iPad Mini. Given that the original 7-inch tablet was announced at the 2012 conference, it would not be too far fetched to expect its follow-up device.

Apart from the bigger screen, the internals will most likely be bumped up to a Tegra 4 SoC, while the prices will stay roughly the same. Google may try to one-up Apple and add a Retina-class display into the mix, but won’t do it unless it can keep the price down. The Nexus 7 has been a huge success so don’t expect the formula to change that much. Hopefully this will be a lot more on-board memory and sports better battery life.

4. Possibly a Nexus 5

While a new Nexus 7 tablet is almost a given, there are also rumors of a successor to the Nexus 4, the so-called Nexus 5. LG has ever said that it is working with Google on several devices and it is quite possible that the Nexus 5. If it really exists, it will be more of an update on the Nexus 4 rather than a new device, akin to the upgrade from the LG Optimus G, on which the Nexus 4 is based, to the LG Optimus G Pro.

Of late there are also some leaks about the rumored Nexus 5. You can check out my last post Google's Nexus 5 Superphone Leaked: Buy Samsung's Galaxy S4 or Wait for Next Nexus? to know the leaked features.

5. Motorola X

Google I/O 2013 may also witness the debut of another mobile – the mythical Motorola X. It is said that Google is working on this superphone since it completed the Motorola acquisition.

Motorola is said to be throwing everything it has got at this new halo device. That is also the reason why it may not be ready in time for I/O. If it is, expect it to be the star of the annual show.

6. Google Glass

Another safe bet is that we will see plenty of Google Glass at this 2013 Google I/O Conference. Google has already held a competition for the most dedicated fans, promising to sell the device to whoever manages to provide an interesting use case for it. Also, there will be a late 2013 launch for Google Glass in the general channels.

More, it seems like that we will get more information about the Google Stores on I/O Conference 2013, if the reports on Google is working on opening its own retails stores is real. Google has plenty of hardware already, so a store may not be such a bad idea.

If above mentioned are true then this year I/O would truly be one hell of a blast for tech geeks. More surprises are expected. So what else do you expect to see at Google I/O 2013? Other than that, are you looking forward to any of the above mentioned products? Welcome to show your predictions below!

Google's Nexus 5 Superphone Leaked: Buy Samsung's Galaxy S4 or Wait for Next Nexus?

Of late Samsung has taken wraps off its newest flagship Galaxy S4 at a NYC launch event. Indeed this mobile wowed us with its new-age hardware and innovative software features, attempting us to get hold of it soon. But just wait, have you heard of the rumored Google Nexus 5 – the follow-up of hugely success Nexus 4? Alleged photo and features of the upcoming Nexus 5 hit the web this weekend that fire up the rumor mill of the device, and it is said that it will be launched in October. Will this phone bring new surprises and take the tech world by storm? Will it beat the Galaxy S4 and win the No.1 smartphone crown finally? Let us check out the leaked features.

Screen: According to the tipster, the new Nexus device would have a massive 5.2-inch OLED display that spews out visuals at a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.

Processor: Rumors also point out that Nexus 5 is powered with Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor at 2.3 GHz clock speed parried with 3GB LPDDR3 RAM.

Memory: Storage options are provided in the form of 16GB, 32GB or 64GB of internal memory.

Camera: Rumored list shows that the new device will sport a 16MP camera at back by OmniVision and a 2.1 megapixel front facing camera. The back camera features 4K video recording at 30 frames per second and 1080p video recording at 60 frames per second along with Real Time HDR, optical image stabilization and BSI 2.0. The front camera is capable to record 1080p video at 30 frames per second.

Battery: Under the hood, there will be a 3300mAh Li-polymer battery.

Software: The rumored Nexus 5 will be running the latest Android iteration out of the box. Since the Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie is expected to launch in May at Google I/O, this will be the version underpinning the new flagship smartphone.

Price: The smartphone will bear the same affordable price as its predecessor, which is one of the selling points of LG Nexus 4.

Other features: Front positioned stereo speakers, Qualcomm RF360 (LTE 150 Mbps & HSPA+), integrated DVB-T / ATSC-antenna and gesture like controls (navigation, zoom, etc).

On the specs front, the Nexus 5 appears to be amazing! Although it is hard to believe these so-high specs, but who knows, Galaxy S4 also gives us the fiction feeling. If the Nexus 5 finally mixes these high features, surely it is worth the wait before buying the Galaxy S4. Truth to be told, the choice between Nexus 5 and Samsung Galaxy S4 is relying on the selling price.

So one question for you: will you buy the Galaxy S4 after shipping or wait for the release of the so-called Nexus 5? Welcome to share your choice below. Further, although Google hasn't confirmed the Nexus 5 device, here I still provide you with one table for reference, regarding Galaxy S4 vs Nexus 5 specs.

Samsung Galaxy S4 vs HTC One: Battle of 1080p Smartphone Giants

Samsung finally unveiled its newest flagship Galaxy S4 at an event in NYC. Attempting to draw attention away from Samsung's launch event, however, the phone spoke for itself. I was quite impressed with the new gadget. It seems like that the Galaxy S4 will take the mobile arena by storm. Having said that, there still exists tight race around the Galaxy S4 just coming from HTC's gigantic mobile HTC One. Which phone is your cup of tea? To avoid you lost in a rough pick-up, here I take Galaxy S4 stacks up next to HTC's flagship phone. Just have a look at the battle between two 1080p smartphone giants: Samsung Galaxy S4 vs. HTC One. (If you are lost in buying a Nexus 4 now or waiting for the Galaxy S4 ship, this post will be your dish.)

  • Design

Galaxy S4: 136.6 x 69.8 x 7.9mm, 130g

HTC One: 137.4 x 68.2 x 9.3mm, 143g

The S4's design is perhaps the most unremarkable aspect of the new phone. It hasn't been updated much from the S3's look. More disappointedly, it still features a plastic casing. Yes I should admit that the plastic frame of the S4 makes it lighter than HTC One. And the S4 might be the better option if weight is an issue for you.

HTC, on the other hand, has given the One a premium, quality build. Its unibody aluminum chassis and thin bezel set it apart from the competition. Personally, its high-end build quality makes the HTC One a front runner in this round.

Winner: HTC One

  • Display

Samsung has given the Galaxy S4 a Full HD 5-inch display with a resolution of 441ppi. Images and videos are expected to be crystal clear on the handset. Its Air View technology is one of its most differentiating features.

The HTC One packs in a 4.7-inch SLCD3 screen with a resolution of 1280 x 1080 pixels and a pixel density of 468ppi. Users could enjoy vivid contrasts and vibrant colours on the phone.

With its new-age technology, the Galaxy S4 wins the display round.

Winner: Galaxy S4

  • Processor

The Galaxy S4's processor has created quite a stir in the tech world. The handset is equipped with the Exynos Octa-core chipset clocked at 1.6GHz. It has more than enough juice to run all its apps flawlessly.

The HTC One runs on a 1.7GHZ quad-core Qualcomm 600 processor and an Adreno 320 GPU. The handset is built for multi-tasking and handles all of Android Jelly Bean’s sophisticated apps with ease.

With its most updated processor, the Galaxy S4 races ahead in the power round.

Winner: Galaxy S4

  • Storage

Samsung has given its latest flagship ample amount of internal storage – available in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB flavours, along with external memory expansion options. The Galaxy S4 also comes with 2GB of RAM.

HTC has designed its new flagship in variants of 32GB and 64GB of internal space. Though it packs in a RAM of 2GB as well, it does not support external memory expansion.

Its generosity with storage makes Samsung a winner in this round.

Winner: Galaxy S4

  • Operating System

Samsung's Galaxy S4 features Google's Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 OS out of the box. The HTC One, although featuring Android Jelly Bean, only ships with Android 4.1.

Besides, Galaxy S4 also comes with its Touchwiz, offering some new unique software features you cannot see on HTC One.

Winner: Galaxy S4

  • Camera

The Galaxy S4 packs in a 13-megapixel primary snapper and a 2-megapixel front shooter. Smart Scroll, Air Gesture and Smart Pause are its most defining features, giving Smart Stay a whole new personality.

HTC One's 4-megapixel camera boasts of specs like Optical Image Stabilization, Smart Flash, HDR, Continuous Shooting, Video Pic, Slow Motion Video Recording, HTC Zoe Share, HTC Zoe with Highlights and Retouch with Object Removal, Always Smile and Sequence Shot. One of the best features of the phone’s secondary snapper is its 88 degrees wide angle lens with HDR capability.

The Galaxy S4’s 13-megapixel snapper and HTC One’s added features put them head-to-head in this round.

Winner: Draw between Galaxy S4 and HTC One

  • Conclusion

If you currently stuck in picking up a Galaxy S4 or HTC One, I should say you are in a tough choice.
Both devices are pretty neck and neck, though the Galaxy S4 seems to beat the HTC One in many ways, but not by much.

Undoubtedly the Galaxy S4 is a smartphone giant. Its new age specs put it right on top of the competition. Its only shortcut seems to be the plastic casing.

Talking about HTC One, it gives the Galaxy S4 some pretty stiff competition. Its premium build helps it win fans, but Samsung's offering might be preferred by those who desire extra storage on their handsets.

My choice is Galaxy S4. What about yours? Welcome to show it below!

Should I Buy the Nexus 4 or Wait for the Galaxy S4?

Recently I have found that many people are asking such a question: Should I Buy the Nexus 4 or Wait for the Galaxy S4? Yes, it is also the question bothering me lots. The Nexus 4 is currently one of the best Android smartphones on the market and the device has won countless hearts of the fans. While Samsung Galaxy S4 is the most anticipated high-end mobile in 2013 and it is an extremely viable option for someone looking to buy a smartphone now. So, which phone to buy? No decision? Maybe below reasons could help you make a stand!

Reasons to Buy the Nexus 4

  • Cheap Off-Contract Price

Certainly the most attractive point on Nexus 4 is its unlocked price through Google Play Store. While most high-end phones are tagged with $500+ off-contract price tags like iPhone 5, Google just sells the Nexus 4 for $299 for an 8GB and $349 for a 16GB model.

Those prices of Nexus 4 are virtually unheard of in the world of unlocked smartphones and that is also the big reason why the mobile flew off the shelves soon. If you are unwilling to break the bank and sign up for a 2-year agreement with a carrier, Nexus 4 is the solid choice. The Galaxy S4 will almost certainly come with an expensive off-contract price point.

  • First to Updates

The obvious benefit of a Nexus phone is that the device will receive major Android updates and Android bug fix updated before devices not called Nexus. Galaxy S4, just like its brother S3, will get the update quite later.

  • Vanilla Android

Another benefit is that the Nexus 4 comes with a stock version of Android, meaning that the device is a pure Google Android experience, untouched by a manufacturer. Instead, the Galaxy S4 will likely be outfitted with Samsung's Nature UX software. Anyone looking for the cleaner software experience will want to look closely at the Nexus 4.

  • Premium Specs

Nexus 4 sports a large 720p display, which delivers great experience while watching all kinds videos on it. It also comes equipped with a camera that is on par with iPhone 5's, a quad-core processor which bodes well for use in the future and a battery supplying high quality battery life.

Yes, Galaxy S4 will likely blow Nexus 4 out of the water from a specs standpoint, but for you don't care about next-gen tech, the Nexus 4 definitely works as an option.

  • Built-In Wireless Charging

Beyond the basic hardware specifications is one smaller feature that should be enticing to you. The Nexus 4 comes equipped with built-in wireless charging, which means that you could use it in conjunction with a dock to charge without wires. It’s not confirmed yet but it’s looking like Samsung will not be offering built-in wireless charging with the Samsung Galaxy S4 and will instead look to sell a wireless charging kit separately from the device. Those looking to wirelessly charge with less hassle will want to look closer at the Nexus 4.

  • Easy to Customize

The last component of a Nexus device is the fact that it comes easily rootable and with an unlocked bootloader. The Nexus 4 is extremely easily to customize with ROMs, skins and more. Samsung is generally good about keeping its devices rootable and unlockable, however, those looking to snag the phone on Verizon will likely come into contact with an encrypted bootloader. So, those looking for personalizing their smartphone easily may want to consider the Nexus 4 route. It’s the easiest route and safe travels are guaranteed.

Reasons to Wait for the Galaxy S4

  • Better Display

Rumors point out that Galaxy S4 will come with a 4.99-inch 1080p screen with 400+ppi and touch less gestures. Personally, the 1080p 400+ppi screen is enough to convince us to wait for the Galaxy S4 and the addition of the touch less gesture rumor make it even more appealing. Just think about waiting for the Galaxy S4, if you want a better display.

  • 4G LTE

Galaxy S4 is surely a 4G LTE smartphone, while Nexus 4 comes with no 4G LTE feature. If you don't need the faster 4G speed, you will be comfortable with Nexus 4. However, when you using 4G LET for an extended period, I bet you will finally choose to wait Galaxy S4.

  • Camera

The Nexus 4's rear camera is good, but it isn't top-of-the-line. If you want a fantastic camera experience, you will come closer to galaxy S4. Rumor has it that Samsung will pack a 13MP rear camera on the Galaxy S4.

  • Expandable Storage

One of the hallmarks of Samsung's Galaxy devices are their MicroSD card slot, which allows us to expand storage easily. The Nexus 4 comes with no MicroSD card slot and only comes in 8GB and 16GB form. So, if you fill up your phone with ease, why not wait for the Galaxy S4.

  • Removable Battery

Another staple of Samsung Galaxy devices are their removable batteries, so that you could get more battery life for Galaxy S4. In contrast, the Nexus 4 owners does not feature a removable battery.

  • Samsung Software

Those looking for features outside of Android will likely want to wait and see what the Galaxy S4 delivers, as it will have some new unique software features aboard that separate it from the rest of Android pack. I mentioned that Galaxy S4 will likely come with a version of Samsung's TouchWiz UI, which offers delivers more interesting features like Eye Scroll, Eye Pause, Multi-Window View, etc.

With all that said, the Galaxy S4 is shaping up to be a monster smartphone release and it will be out tomorrow 14, March. Then, I bet you could make your choice soon! So, which one is your final wait? Let me know below!

Samsung's Galaxy S4: What May Come on March 14

Exactly a long long long wait since the invites are out. By March 14 we finally could get a glimpse of what mettle the Samsung Galaxy S4 is made of, possibly answering this question: What new smartphone capabilities do we expect to see on Galaxy S4?

The speculation about its launch date is now ended, but rumors about the Galaxy S4's features, specs, appearance and even price are running rampant. In the lead-up to the New York City event, I have compiled everything I know about the Galaxy S4 so as to give you a decent picture of what Samsung might unveil on March 14. Check out below quick rundown of hot specs that could come in the Galaxy S4 package.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Rumors: View From The Outside

  • Screen: The Samsung Galaxy S4 is said to feature a lightly larger 4.99-inch Full HD SoLux Display with a reported resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels, which comes out to be an extremely dense-looking display at 441 pixels per inch, slightly less than the HTC One (469ppi), but much more than the 326ppi Retina Display of iPhone 5.

  • Size and Weight: Besides the screen, the dimensions of the S4 itself are also said to be slightly different. While the Samsung Galaxy S3 measured 136.6 x 70.6 x 8.6 mm, the Samsung Galaxy S4 is said to measure slightly longer at 140.1 mm and slightly wider at 71.8 mm, but even thinner than its predecessor at just 7.7 mm thick, which is just 0.1 mm thicker than the depth of the iPhone 5 from Apple. Source also claims a weight of 138gm, up on the 133g S3.

  • Available Color: Galaxy S4 will come in black and white, no original blue included.

  • Design: Leaked picture also shows that there is no Home button on Galaxy S4 and there are no changes on its design. But what really hope that Galaxy S4 will never come with the cheap plastic body, just like they did with Galaxy S3, plus be added with a stylus like the Note 2 does.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Rumors: View From The Inside

  • Processor: Samsung Galaxy S4 is said to feature a new Exynos 5 Octa CPU, which was initially used in the company’s Chromebook model — the new processor is said to have eight cores for enhanced work flow and power efficiency.

  • Camera: So far all speculation is pointing towards a 13-megapixel camera on the back with 1080 HD video recording, and we'd expect the front-facing camera to be at least 2-megapixel with HD video recording at 720p. Although what we still do not know if Samsung adopts any of the new photography technologies on its Galaxy S4, just like what HTC and Nokia did on their flagship.

  • Storage: Samsung news site SamMobile believes the Galaxy S4 will be available in three storage options – 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB

  • Software: We expect the Galaxy S4 to run Android 4.2 with Samsung's own TouchWiz 6.0 user interface over the top. Used by all of Samsung's Android devices, including its smartphones, tablets and the Galaxy Camera, TouchWiz makes major aesthetic changes to Android and brings Samsung's 'designed for humans, inspired by nature' theme introduced last year with the S3 to the forefront of every device.

  • Other Features: Wireless Charging, More better NFC

Samsung Galaxy S4 Rumors: Price

As far as price goes, we fully expect Samsung to retain identical price tags from the Galaxy S3 in the Galaxy S4. Now that the Galaxy S3 has seen a price drop – Samsung is selling last year’s model anywhere between $49 and $99 – Samsung is free to sell the Galaxy S4 at last year’s prices. If the company follows the same plan as last year, the Galaxy S4 could cost $199 for 16 GB or $249 for 32 GB. Without a two-year contract, it’s possible Samsung could sell the new handset at $599 and $649, for 16 and 32 GB storage models, respectively, like it did last year.

Well, what about your expectation on Samsung Galaxy S4? Share your ideas!

How to Jailbreak iPhone 5 and iOS 6.1 Devices with Evasion

The iOS 6 and iOS 6.1 untethered jailbreak has now become a reality! As the majority of America was watching the SuperBowl yesterday, the evad3rs jailbreak team has finished their work on untethered jailbreak called evasion. The Evasi0n jailbreak has been released for all devices capable of running iOS 6 and iOS 6.1, including the iPhone 5 and iPad mini. It is a particularly exciting release for those who have been waiting for an iPhone 5 jailbreak.

The jailbreaking with the Evasion tool is surprisingly easy, but if you are new to jailbreak devices and want to see how it goes, here I will walk through the process from start to finish. Ready to get your jailbreak on? Go!

Supported devices:

Evasi0n supports all 20+ variants of iOS devices, including the likes of iPhone 5, on iOS 6.0 through iOS 6.1. Apple TV 3 though is not supported.

Supported firmware versions:

iOS 6.0, 6.0.1, 6.0.2, 6.1 are all supported.

Before the Jailbreak, what you should NOTE:

a. It is highly recommended to make a complete backup of your device using either iTunes or iCloud before proceeding with the steps below.

b. Download iOS 6.1 and update your device to it using iTunes. Although Evasion supports all versions of iOS 6, it is still recommended to update to the latest 6.1 version before jailbreak so that you can get all the new features of iOS 6.1, with the added bonus of jailbreak.

c. If your device is set to unlock with a passcode, go ahead and disable that. Passcode unlocking has a conflict with the evasi0n jailbreak. You can disable Passcode lock from: Settings –> General –> Passcode Lock –> Off

d. Make sure both iTunes and Xcode (if installed) are not running.

How-to jailbreak iOS 6.1 (instructions):

Step 1: Download Evasion jailbreak tool tailored for your OS (Windows/Mac/ Linux) from evasi0n (You could also download the one with the links below).

Step 2: Open up the Evasion app that you have downloaded, and plug your iOS device into your PC with a USB cable.

Step 3: Evasi0n will recognize your device, and then it’s safe to click the “Jailbreak” button. Sit back and relax while Evasi0n does its thing.
Step 4: The tool will do its magic, and along the way it will ask you to unlock your device and tap a new “Jailbreak” icon that has been miraculously added to your Home screen.

Step 5: Let Evasi0n install the rest of the jailbreak, and your device will reboot several times to complete the process. Once this is done, Cydia should now be sitting there next to your other app icons. Just navigate to Cydia and enjoy your new jailbreak!

Here is a video you can follow with to jailbreak your iOS 6.1 devices:

BlackBerry Z10 features a 4.2-inch display with a resolution of 1280-by-768p (356 pixels per inch), while the Galaxy S3 gets a larger 4.8-inch Super AMOLED HD display and the resolution stands at 1,280x720, which is extremely bright.

In terms of brightness Galaxy S3 blows away all displays on the market and its screen is simply better than the one found on Z10. Color reproduction looks better too. However, Z10 is more comfortable to hold, just like iPhone 5.

Processor:

Samsung's Galaxy S3 runs on a quad-core Exynos 1.4GHz Cortex A9 processor for international version, Snapdragon S4 dual-core at 1.5GHz for the US version. The Z10, on the other hand, is powered by a dual-core processor clocked to 1.5GHz. It's a top-of-the-line processor that offers superb gaming performance and the device rocks 2GB of RAM. It's without doubt a beast.

Camera:

Blackberry Z10 is equipped with a rear-facing 8 megapixel shooter capable of 1080p video, and a front-facing 2 megapixel camera which can do 720p video capture. The camera doesn't take shots as crisp as the ones you'll get from the Galaxy s3, but it has a new "wow" feature called Time Shift. The Galaxy S3 has an 8-megapixel camera on back and a front camera at 1.9 megapixels.

Storage:

BlackBerry Z10 has a 16GB of internal storage plus a microSD slot of up to 32 GB, while the Galaxy S3 comes in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB versions and support for SD card up to 64GB. Samsung takes a big advantage in this round.

Battery:

With regards to the packed battery power, the BlackBerry Z10 only has a 1,800mAh battery, while Galaxy S3 has a more powerful 2,100mAh battery life, supporting up to 12 hours of talk time, up to 10 hours on 3G, up to 60 hours for audio playback and up to 11 hours for video playback.

Software:
The Z10 runs on the fire-new BlackBerry 10 OS. At this point, it is a little hard to tell about BlackBerry 10, just because that currently it is not as mature as Android. And we have to wait and see the overall performance of the BB10-powered BlackBerry Z10.

The S3 is powered by Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, Google's awesome Jelly Bean OS. Similar to Android 4.0, the new OS offers Google Now, a better camera app and awesome expandable notifications.
Apps:

The Z10 powered by BlackBerry 10 comes with so many preloaded apps you are possibly interested in, like BlackBerry s BBM app(non-support for voice and video calls), Twitter, Facebook and a new BlackBerry Map app, although it is not good as Google Map.

The Android Jelly Bean OS onboard Galaxy S3 is full  mature now. There are millions of apps on Google Play to fully fit our needs. Actually there is a long way for BlackBerry to develop its own app store.

Price and release date:

It is said that the BlackBerry Z10 will be priced at $199.99 for a two-year contract. Its unlocked version will be sold for $599. The price of Galaxy s3 starts at  $199 with two-year contract.

BlackBerry Z10 will hit the stores in March, 2013, while Galaxy S3 is now available worldwide.

Sum up:

No denying that the BlackBerry Z10 is a great phone with fire-new BB10 OS as well as high-performing hardware. However, it is really power enough to save the BlackBerry line and RIM? Sound off your ideas!
