Quad-core Sony Xperia Android Tablet Expected to be launched in 2012 IFA

Days go by, there is just 2 days left for the opening of IFA trade show! As is well-known, loads of electrical giants will take part in this mobile event, such as Samsung, LG, Sony, Acer and Microsoft. Following months of rumour and speculation, Sony looks set to officially unveil its next generation tablet – Xperia Tablet S during this big event.

Thanks to the freshest reports, we have got hold of some new images about Xperia Tablet S. From below photos, we can easily get that the Xperia tablet retains the folded design of Sony’s Tablet S, but it is with a much thinner and sleeker design.

Design: a splash-proof case that is just 8.8mm thin.
Processor: The Xperia tablet is rumored to feature a quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor with 1GB RAM, which is the same chip used in ASUS Transformer tablets and Nexus 7.
Display: The screen seems to have remained the same 9.4 inch with 1280 x 800 pixels as the Tablet S.
Camera: It is said that an 8-megapixel rear camera and 1MP front-facing camera will be stuffed in Xperia tablet.
Battery: A 6,000 mAh battery is expected to be equipped that will supply roughly 10 hours of Wi-Fi browsing.
Connectivity: Earlier rumors pegged that it will support Wi-Fi and 3G, but there is no word on a 4G LTE option.
OS: The Xperia Tablet is said to run Android 4.0. but its followers seemingly expect it will be launched with Jelly Bean.
Other features: Bluetooth 3.0, micro SD card slot and GPS
Price Tag: The tablet is reportedly to be offered at $399.99 for the 16GB model, $499.99 for the 32GB model and $599.99 for the 64GB mode.
Accessories: a non-keyboard case, a privacy screen and a couple of different stands to convert the device into a convertible home media player.


Abovementioned the features about the Xperia Tablet are half-truths. More than likely the IFA in Berlin will give a perfect chance for Sony to unveil its new tablet to rival with other ones like iPad, Nexus 7, Kindle Fire. 4. HTC Phablet
Release Date: To cope with the cut-throat competition coming from Apple, Samsung, Nokia, HTC is rumored to release a complete new phone-tablet hybrid in September.

According to the unnamed sources, the HTC’s secret weapon might sport a 5-inch display with a 1,794×1,080-pixel resolution, a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 1.5GHz processor, an ungraded camera and either Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich or Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
5. Nokia Windows Phone 8
Release Date: Due to the release of Microsoft’s Windows 8 OS, Nokia is reportedly to announced its first Windows Phone 8 at Nokia World.

The Nokia Windows Phone 8 is rumored to rock a 4.3-inch screen with 1280 x 720 pixels HD resolution, dual-core Qualcomm processor, Windows 8 OS, LTE and NFC support and the same design as the Lumia 900.

6. Motorola DROID RAZR HD
Release Date: The Motorola DROID RAZR HD is anticipated to make its debut on September 5 at Motorola/ Verizon event.

7. Sony Xperia Tablet

The tablet is reportedly offered for $399.99 for the 16GB model, $499.99 for the 32GB model and $599.99 for the 64GB mode.
 8. Iconia Tab A110
Release Date: The Acer Iconia Tab A110 is now available on U.K. retailer site Ebuyer for preoder and the tablet will be shipped at the end of September.

As being the first third-party tablets carrying Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, the Iconia Tab A110 boasts a quad-core Tegra 3 processor with 1GB of RAM, a 7-inch display with 1024x600 resolution, front and rear cameras, 8GB internal memory with a MicroSD card to expand storage, a mini HDMI-out and Wi-Fi, which is the biggest rival for Google Nexus 7 currently.
