iPhone 5S, iPad 5, iPad Mini 2 Rumors, Specs and Release Date

No denying that the iPhone 5, iPad Mini, iPad 4 is still fresh out the oven, but whispers have already begun to surface that an iPhone 5S successor could go into production as early as next month and a iPad 5, a iPad Mini 2 will drop off Apple's production line in March, just five months after the launch of iPad 4 and iPad Mini.

I know many of you are doubting these rumors, but the early arrival of the iPad 4 and the iPad Mini is just eight months after the release of the iPad 3 in March. It means that Apple still has the ability to give surprises and we could well see an iPhone 5S, iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2 appearing earlier than expected!

Rumored to hit volume production in Q1 2013, Apple's iPhone 5S is already the talk of the town following a leaked image of what is said to be the handset's backpanel. It is only been several months for the release of iPhone 5S, so what will this iPhone 5 successor be like? I have examined all existed rumors so far, plus made a few educated guesses of my own, in a bid to try and piece together a coherent picture of Apple’s next iPhone. Just check out below!

iPhone 5S - Release Date

We know Apple's release schedule varies from year to year, making us impossible to speculate the release date of iPhone 5S. However when considering how quickly Apple updated the iPad 4, the iPhone 5S is widely expected to be released at some point during the middle of 2013, just a bit earlier than Apple did with iPhone 5.

iPhone 5S – Display
Rumors began swirling recently, Apple may pack iPhone 5S with a Retina+ display using Sharp IZGO technology and the pixel density of iPhone 5S will be significantly bumped up.

iPhone 5S – Design
From the recent leak it’s clear that Apple is leaving the core design of the iPhone 5S alone, just as it did between iterations of the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S. That’s to be expected, however, as Apple never really rocks the boat in this regard, meaning the handset will almost certainly feature a 4-inch display and the same unibody design as its predecessor.

iPhone 5S – Camera
Like 1080p display, 13-megapixel camera will also become extremely prevalent during 2013. For this reason we’re expecting Apple to introduce a 13-megapixel rear camera aboard its iPhone 5S handset, bringing some of the best imaging capabilities seen to date on an iDevice.

iPhone 5S – iOS 7 
iOS 7 will presumably be the successor to iOS 6 and the iPhone 5S will almost assuredly be running iOS 7 if and when it arrives next year. 

Other rumored features are the oft-rumored 128GB of storage space and the different surface colors, just like Apple did with iPod touch. Detailed specs on processor, RAM are still unclear! What are certain that there will a more faster, more-powerful processor, more RAM, better microphones or even improved speakers on iPhone 5S. 

• Roundup Rumors for iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2 

According to an Apple Analyst, next generation iPad and iPad Mini are rumored for a March launch, which makes the iPad 5 release date and iPad Mini 2 release date just a few months after their predecessors were released.

It is said that iPad 5 will be lighter and thinner than iPad 4 that was released in October, and also include the new A6X processor, a Sharp IGZO display, while the form factor of the iPad Mini should be similar to the first generation iPad Mini that debuted in October. 

• iPad mini 2 vs iPad mini: What improvements to expect? 

1. iPad mini 2 is expected to carry the same form and exterior, but comes with a more robust and faster chip.
2. iPad mini 2 will be available in more colours, too, according to rumours. Gadget shoppers will reportedly be able to choose from six to eight colours.
3. iPad mini 2 could also feature Sharp's thin-but-tough IGZO technology according to DigiTimes and Apple analyst Horace Dediu. With IGZO, the regular iPad can boast of a minimum 330 pixels per inch (ppi) in pixel density.
